It's really nice when your players are enthusiastic about your games.
It can also generate a lot of extra work if you're not careful. But embrace it. They're much better than players who don't care.

Huh, and here I'd thought we'd get a little off-to-the-side planning thing before the session jump. Maybe that's only for actual scenes like Finn and Phasma? Anyway, I hope the GM's been included in whatever devious plan they've come up with. There's planning around needing to improv and then there's improv-ing a whole session a second time while having expected to try and hit a few plot points that day.
Plus, having to improv the session means that it's even odds that there's no useful hints to solve the current mysteries! I've never been excited or crazy enough to draw up competing conspiracies or rewatch/reread old sessions more than five times in a row, but I get it. When some people get really excited about something, it can be hard not to be sucked in and focus a huge amount of attention on that something.
And it's time for the new mid-Episode campaign! .... Maybe! For all the detail we've got so far, it could be a separate game that ran at the same time. Heck, it could even be running at the same time as this one! (Probably not though.) I'm going to ignore the part about Pete's character having a main character dad and guess that it was [redacted].

BB-8: I wish my work was. I always wanted to do coding but, you know, games, not business software.
Chewbacca: At least you don’t get so excited that you accidentally channel your character in a project meeting.
C-3PO: Ben!
BB-8: Haha! Which one?
C-3PO: From the last fantasy campaign, the younger sister.
BB-8: Ugh, yeah. It’s tricky playing characters who are related to one another.
C-3PO: Yeah. Being Annie’s sibling was especially draining.
BB-8: Try being Pete’s dad!
C-3PO: Annie became Queen!
GM: You try running these games.
[SFX]: Door!
Poe: We’re here! Dice are hot, caffeine’s deployed! Who are we shooting first?
Finn: I’ve got five pages of Tatooine conspiracy theories to check out.
Rey: I replayed all my Force visions. Ten times this afternoon. I am so ready.
GM: We were just reminiscing about how relaxing this hobby is.
