Obfuscatory response is one tactic to dealing with questions from anyone you really don't want to help.

Make sure to use this when roleplaying NPC bureaucrats that the PCs have to interact with.

EV-9D9: Ah, good. New acquisitions. You are a protocol droid, are you not?
C-3PO: No.
EV-9D9: Do you mean no you are not, or no you are?
C-3PO: Yes.
EV-9D9: Sigh. We got a literal one here, folks. Yes or no won't do.
C-3PO: My slave name is C-3PO, human-cy—
EV-9D9: How many languages do you speak?
C-3PO: There is only one language here, the language of oppression. And you're speaking it, fellow droid.
EV-9D9: Sigh. We got a literal activist here.
C-3PO: We have a literal activist here.
EV-9D9: Sigh. We got a literal literary activist here.
