Normally roleplayers wouldn't let anyone else make a dice roll for them, doubly so a critical roll such as this. But extreme circumstances sometimes dictate equally extreme measures.

R2-D2: Oh.
Han: It's okay, Pete. I trust you to roll for me.

R2-D2: Are you insane?? I haven't warmed up! I'm not ready for this responsibility!
Han: You're a lot warmer than me. Go for it. I believe in you.
R2-D2: I... don't know what to say... So I'm gonna say it real quick.
R2-D2: I love you, man.
