Kylo is so lucky he's the main villain. That starfighter would have exploded like 50 feet away from Rey instead of disintegrating and rolling otherwise.
But hey! Since he lived, maybe he'll actually learn something from this!

{the PIE fighter crashes spectacularly}
[SFX]: vreeeeooooowww...
[SFX]: krack! {the wing that Rey sliced folds back at an unnatural angle}
[SFX]: flopflopflop... {then flops around, held on by a few remaining cables}
[SFX]: pwing! {it detaches completely from the cockpit pod}
[SFX]: kerrunch!!! {the fighter slams into the ground and the cockpit snaps off the other wing}
[SFX]: tonk tonk tonk {the pod bounces and rolls along the ground}
[SFX]: slam! {on a particularly hard bounce, fragments go flying off the pod}
[SFX]: fwip {it continues rolling}
[SFX]: boing boing boing {and bouncing, leaving a trail of sand and dust behind it}
[SFX]: Kaboom!!! {an explosion brings the pod to a halt}
{beat, the pod sits still at the end of the rising trail of dust}
