If your players are the sort who suggest wacky things from time to time, consider just letting them work sometimes.
If you do this rarely enough and pick your moments right, you can totally bamboozle your players with having to deal with the consequences of something that they themselves suggested.

Ooooooookay then. While this feels like something the Irregulars could stitch together, Rey did just shoot the hut wall. And probably a Porg on the other side as well. And while I guess it's plausible Rey has extremely poor trigger discipline, that would have to be a heck of a vivid imagination to go with it.
....While still sitting.
.........And while obviously having slowly woken up.
Which.... kinda leads me to believe this is actually a thing in the movie? There's nothing dangerous on the island as far as we've seen that would require shooting at. So far anyway.
As a comic idea, I think it's quite fine. Letting off-the-wall ideas work can be great fun sometimes! And if the GM wants to move in a certain direction, it's also a good option to have that can make the players feel clever. As a movie idea though? That seems.... Something about it feels really weird. I mean, it wouldn't be the first time we've had a Force Chat as I just remembered. I think that was in the movie as well at least, or something close to it. But Luke and Darth Vader were related, and that still wasn't a visual thing either.

GM: <roll> You know what? That works.
GM: Rey, the dawn light steals into your hut and wakes you.
GM: As you rub the sleep from your eyes, you feel a presence in the room.
GM: A voice calls out across the void:
Kylo Ren’s voice: HEY, REY!
Rey: Kylo Ren...
Kylo Ren: {speaking to Rey via some sort of Force link} There you are. Where are you?
Rey: You think I’m going to tell you?
Kylo Ren: I’ll find you. I just need to trace this Force connection.
[SFX]: grab {Rey grabs her blaster}
Rey: Uh huh. Trace this, sleemo!
[SFX]: Pow! {Rey shoots her blaster}
GM: Kylo feels the shot in his gut, but is unharmed.
[SFX]: oof!
GM: The hut wall, however...
[SFX]: crumble... {there is a hole in the wall, with loose rocks falling to the floor}
Rey: Eh. This place was a bit stuffy anyway.
